  
When God created friends He took the time to think about
The little things needed to make them special, I have no doubt.
He would give them lots of patience, a heart that's filled with love,
The kind that's unconditional and manufactured from above.
He would give them lots of kindness and understanding I am sure,
The very things that's needed for a friendship to endure.
He would give them extra moments to spare so that they could
Be there when they are needed as all good friends should.
He would give them lots of wisdom and ears to listen well
To friends who may have troubles and need someone to tell.
He would give them a sense of humor and the talent to bring a smile
To someone who has not been able to laugh in quite awhile.
Then God in all His glory with the help of angels near
Created friends for many, the ones we hold so dear.
So, if I call you friend, please know that I'm aware
That God has made you 'specially for the friendship that we share!
